Achieve your goals by being positive!
Do you ever feel like you can’t achieve the things you’ve been dreaming about?
Well I’m here to tell you something – you can achieve those dreams. Self-belief and confidence are the first step on your way to the future you dream of.
Being confident is so important. It helps us to stay positive and conquer each day. Confidence can push us to keep going through difficult times, even when we feel like giving up. When we lack confidence things can feel much harder to achieve, leaving us feeling deflated and unmotivated.
There are lots of things you can do to build your confidence… For example, reading these awesome Springster articles. But really the best way to build your confidence is simply to believe in yourself!
That's right! You are amazing exactly as you are right now.
Here are 5 reasons why:
You are an achiever! Wanting to build your confidence already shows that you’re an ambitious, determined, decision-maker.
You are strong! You may not be able to carry an elephant with one hand but you have successfully endured a difficult situation, task or circumstance.
You are smart! Remember the time when you figured something out all by yourself? You have to be pretty intelligent to do that.
You are kind! You have good thoughts and intentions towards people.
You are brave! Being nervous or apprehensive usually comes from the desire to do well at something, which isn’t a bad thing. Being confident doesn’t mean that you no longer feel nervousness, it means that you are able to work through your nerves to reach your goal.
Don’t under-appreciate the amazing characteristics that you already have. Looking inwards is a great way to realise the truth about the wonderful parts of you that already exist.
Here’s an exercise: Write down at least 3 things that you like about your personality; maybe it’s that you’re a big dreamer, that you make people laugh and that you are kind.
Then, every week, write at least 1 more thing down. Keep adding to this list whenever you can and revisit it whenever you are feeling deflated.
Never stop appreciating your inner awesomeness, girl!
